* Nancy Taaffe won 5,595 votes in the 2024 Greater London Assembly election and 9% of the vote in the Higham Hill council by-election in October 2014 * TUSC did not contest the parliamentary elections when Jeremy Corbyn was leader of the Labour Party, but Nancy was the Socialist candidate in Walthamstow in 2015 and 2010. * Nancy and TUSC have consistently stood candidates in Waltham Forest council elections, securing 3,490 votes in 2022, 2,841 votes in 2018 and 5,482 votes in 2014. * Nancy Taaffe is Chair of the Save Our Square campaign and Assistant Secretary of Waltham Forest Trades Council. She and the Socialist Party have a long record of fighting for council housing, and against cuts, privatisation and war.
