Full statement

With our best ever local and Euro election results and membership at an all-time high there’s never been a better time to join the Liberal Democrats in our campaign for a free, fair and liberal UK. “
Martin Wrigley has been working to tackle single use plastic in our communities, and was a sponsor of the Teignbridge declaration of a climate emergency. Teignbridge are currently building a plan to increase renewable energy generation, reduce energy usage and to plant 1000 trees a year.
Martin Wrigley says: “Nationally, we have to invest in green technology and encourage new solutions to de-carbonise our industry, travel and power generation – making Britain once again a world-leader in renewable energy.
“Our planet is at breaking point. We don’t have the luxury of waiting another decade for politicians in our country to act.”

This statement was added by Martin Wrigley, their team, or by a Democracy Club volunteer, based on information published by the candidate elsewhere.
