Statement to voters

I never thought I would end up in politics, but circumstances have led me to this.

Full statement

When my employer ripped up my contract after 25 years of loyal service at Heathrow Airport , my colleagues and I (all Spelthorne residents) asked our MP for help, but he did not want to know. On top of this, I was a victim of three serious crimes, experienced rogue landlords - the list goes on. In hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise. Against the odds, we have won the County and Borough elections within 18 months. Since then by working together, we have solved so many longstanding issues whilst creating endless opportunities. Now is our opportunity to take this to the next level and get the best for Spelthorne. A constituency which has been neglected and where our elected MP has never wanted to reside or connect with. I love Spelthorne and my neighbours; it’s our home, and we have a real chance to change things for the better. Unfortunately, unlike the big parties, we don’t have the available funds but we do have the will! During the next six weeks, if you can help ‘Team Spelthorne’ in any way - big or small - please direct message me. We have a track record of getting things done and as I’m not particularly liked by our opponents, it’s clear we are definitely doing something right! It’s time to change the system and give the residents of Spelthorne real hope. Let’s make history together. Best wishes Harry
