I'm a born-and-bred Pompey local and a resident in Southsea, helping our community everyday to ensure our environment, local businesses, community and city thrives.

At this time of national crisis, I’ve stepped up to offer our community the support it needs. I set up the Portsmouth Coronavirus Support Group on Facebook, which provides mutual aid and now has over 10,000 members. I’ve been delivering food to those isolating, supporting local artists and recently collected IT equipment for pupils at Bramble Infant School and Nursery, to be able to learn from home. In recognition of my community work, I received a Pamodzi Inspirational Women of Portsmouth award, which I am so grateful and honoured to get.

Now, I want to take my community action a step further. I'm standing to be the Labour councillor candidate for Central Southsea, because I want to make Central Southsea and Portsmouth the best place it can be.

As an active social and environmental campaigner, as well as a trade unionist, I'm determined to ensure our area gets better recycling, improved cycling provision, support for local businesses and workers and safer roads and streets.
