Statement to voters

I have lived in Royston for over 30 years and have been involved in a wide range of community organisations.

Full statement

I work for a local mental health charity and have offered voluntary support to local residents during the pandemic. I have always supported local businesses, including Royston's thriving market, by shopping locally and last year I worked with Royston First BID to improve the Christmas lights. I believe passionately in the need for climate change action. I have campaigned for improvements to walking and cycling infrastructure and led the installation of dual recycling bins in Royston town centre. During the last 3 years, since I was elected to the District Council, I have listened to local residents, responded to their concerns, increased public engagement and promoted greater openness and transparency in local decision making. If elected as your County Councillor, I would work hard to create a greener, fairer and more caring community. I would seek to develop a sustainable local economy and promote the value, contribution and wellbeing of all our residents.
