Our candidate for Stapleford and Broxtowe central is our current sitting Stapleford Town Councillor Teresa Needham.
Full statement
Teresa has a proven track record serving as both deputy leader and leader of Stapleford Town Council. She is a member of the Stapleford Investment plan executive board, putting together the bid for £25m of government funding for Stapleford.
Teresa is an advocate for cross party cooperation as a method of achieving real change and progress in local politics and for the local people she serves.
“I’ve seen first-hand the importance of working cross party to bring in the changes needed to protect our environment. Electing even a single Green Party county councillor would really make a difference. I’m hopeful for the future and grateful for the opportunity to represent the people of Stapleford, Bramcote, Trowell, Cossall, Strelly and Awsworth at county level.”
with Teresa's strong voice within, Stapleford Town Council declared a climate emergency in 2019 and has since become the first ‘net carbon’ zero town council in Broxtowe.
