Statement to voters

I have lived in Edgeley since 2004 and before that, I lived in Cheadle Heath.

Full statement

I am a lifelong supporter of the Labour Party. I love Edgeley and everything it stands for - it is a wonderful part of Stockport and its residents are decent, honest and welcoming.

This is my first foray into politics. Edgeley is suffering setbacks because the current Local Councillors are more focused on National politics than local issues. For too long, Stockport Labour Group has viewed Edgeley as a safe seat and they are in danger of abusing that position.

I believe that a Community focused organisation is better placed to prioritise local issues and bring positive changes to Edgeley for the benefit of everyone.
