About this position
The Mayor of South Yorkshire helps direct the overall strategy of the four councils which make up the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority. Working with the leaders of the four councils, the Mayor has responsibilities in areas such as transport, housing and planning.
This election has been called following the transfer of powers from the Police and Crime Commissioner to the Mayor. Learn more.
