Statement to voters

Dear Resident,

I’m so proud to have been selected as the Green Party candidate for the District Council by-election for Kinwarton on 9th July.

Full statement

You may already know me if you went to school in Wilmcote or Haselor, or have hired Aston Cantlow Village Hall where I’m the caretaker and bookings manager. You may have seen me at the Cantlow Club with a drink, have visited my family business for a wig, or seen me walking our dogs around the local countryside. If so, you’ll know I’m someone who shows up and gets involved.

Working hard in our community

I was born and raised in this area and have been part of the community my whole life. I know our community is facing real challenges: flooding, the prospect of new builds on every horizon, and the fight to protect our green and pleasant environment. I’ve lived these issues alongside you. As a small business owner, former teacher and carer for my elderly parents, I know how to work hard, stay organised and push for solutions.

Committed to fairness

I’m standing to represent our villages because you deserve a councillor dedicated to fairness, community building, environmental protection and social justice. I’ll attend Parish Council meetings, hold regular drop‑ins, and take your concerns straight to the District Council.

Unlike other parties, the Green Party gives its councillors the freedom to stand by their communities – with no pressure from party officials, we’re at liberty to apply our values and work for what residents want.

Vote for hope, locally and nationally

Greens locally, regionally and nationally are working harder than ever to strengthen our communities and gain sustainable solutions. We have a track record of successful work with other parties, putting residents first.

We oppose the Stratford Liberal Democrat local plan. This will be destructive to many of our communities and remove Wilmcote’s green belt status. All development must be sustainable and infrastructure-led.

Greens can win here!

The Green Party won with 62% of the vote in Claverdon and Snitterfield, and now have 125 elected representatives across the West Midlands.

If you believe, like I do, that we can do better, that politicians should represent the people, then vote Green on 9th July.

PS I can win, but every vote will count!
