I think that having more young people involved in the council will benefit and enrich local politics.

I’ve lived in this ward for 4 years and am so proud to call it home. I love cycling here (as is evident from my social media), but I also love the buses, the green spaces, the shops, cafes and pubs, and most importantly the community.

Last year I campaigned to change the law on student accommodation to better regulate it. These unaffordable “luxury” blocks are exploitable for students and terrible for the local community cohesion. I secured amendments to the Housing Bill, but the SNP government rejected them, leaving us no better off than before.

I have lived experience of sofa surfing, fuel poverty, and working a minimum wage job to survive. If you elect me, I will deliver for residents so that fewer and fewer people have to go through these things.
