I hope to work effectively and tirelessly to get all our voices heard when it matters. I’m not scared to speak out. I live and work from the centre of Bovey Tracey but I have family, friends and work connections throughout the Bovey Rural area. Being an active member of my community, I am in touch with the needs and views of a wide range of our residents. I was proud to be part of the Covid Helpline during 2020 where our community rallied to support residents. I have also advocated for our students, staff and parents when we needed to speak out on education. When our area needs us, it is time to step in, not step out.

I am proud to stand on our Devon Labour Manifesto ‘A Better Future for Devon’ which is a comprehensive picture of our aims. I am particularly passionate about education, social care, public health, mental health and retaining local, vital services – whilst promoting the needs of semi-rural areas. The backdrop of the climate emergency should be at the forefront of all our services and policies. My HR and Training background should prove useful if elected to the County Council, I am well acquainted with councils and working effectively in groups. I would genuinely love the opportunity to break the trend and get a real chance to support our area in the essential services we all use and love.
