I’ve lived in Finchampstead for nearly 40 years, and it is a wonderful place, with excellent local amenities and wonderful countryside.

My children grew up here and we enjoy being part of the community. I’ve been a governor at Emmbrook school and I sit on Finchampstead Parish Council, where I Chair the Rights of Way committee and have been the ‘council lead’ on the Finchampstead Neighbourhood Development Plan. So Finchampstead is very much my home.

I was elected to Wokingham Borough Council in 2022 and is now Chair of the Planning Committee and Executive Member for Business and Economic Development. I believe that the one thing the council has to do much better is to communicate with residents and work harder to explain why and how decisions get made.

People rightly get upset when they feel things are just ‘being done to them’ and I feel very passionate about giving people as much information as possible. At the same time, we are faced with a national government which is cutting council spending to the bone.

Your choice at this election is to vote for a council that responds to local needs and not to their political leaders at Westminster.
