Statement to voters

I moved to Earley in 2007 for my work with a global financial services company.

Full statement

I am married with two grown-up children who attended Loddon Primary School where I was chair of governors. My wife and I are foster carers for Wokingham Borough Council and I am on the Leadership Team at Lower Earley Baptist Church. I took early retirement in 2022 to focus on what I want to do in the community. When not involved with councillor duties I help with a children’s midweek youth club and am part of a badminton club.

Before moving to Earley, I was chair of a community association representing 15,000 residents and local businesses in Shoeburyness in Essex and Chair of the user group for the C2C Rail line. I have been an active campaigner for many years and am proud of what I have achieved. Since being elected last May I have been delighted to help the ward residents who have contacted me, campaign for improvements in the ward, and provide input to the council’s Risk Management and Procurement programmes.
