Statement to voters
We have lived in a two party system for far too long, swings from the left to the right have led to the stagnation of our country and it's political system.
Full statement
The only means that the electorate has to bring about real change is to return the Liberal Democrat party to prominence. By voting for the Liberal Democrats the extremes of both the left and right can be opposed and consensus and balance restored to our political system.
I urge our local voters to consider what steps we need to take to restore the many institutions that we rely on to functioning and effective pillars of our society. A coalition of parties can lead to consensus and pragmatism and remove the monopoly of power the major parties hold.
