Statement to voters
As a Liberal Democrat, 'Remain' voter and long-time local resident, I want to help build a brighter future and provide a much stronger voice for all of Southend West. We've been let down by the Conservatives (just two examples: the £15million CUT in funding for Southend West schools since 2015, and the failure to listen to local concerns about hospital reorganisation). Both the other two main parties want to leave Europe, but whether it's blue or red, hard or soft, any form of Brexit will be bad for jobs, business, and public services in our town and the country overall. Carefully costed LibDem plans will use the Remain Bonus from staying in the EU to bring tangible benefits in key areas like climate change, health services (and funding for more police), from schools & education to building a better economy. Support me to make that a reality.
