Statement to voters

I’m Leigh, and I’m standing to be the Labour MP for Stafford, Eccleshall, and the villages.

Full statement

Hopefully you’ve seen the news that a general election has just been called and will be held on 4th July.

A bit about me - I’m not a career politician. My dad was a bricklayer, and my mum worked with kids in care. I’ve spent my career working with children and in education. I’ve a proven track record as a grassroots campaigner, where I took on an energy giant and won a better deal for my neighbours, as well as fighting to reinstate Free School Meal Vouchers after they were stopped. I’ve spent my life fighting for a fair deal for people, and I want to carry on that fight for you. That's why I'm standing to be your MP.
