Allan Bresland lives in Sion Mills and has earned widespread respect as an elected representative in North and West Tyrone since first elected to the local council in 1993.

He is currently a Councillor and Alderman in Londonderry City and Strabane District Council. An active member of all the loyal orders, he is also involved in the running of his local Credit Union in Donemana.
Allan has a wealth of experience as a public representative including previous service representing West Tyrone in the Northern Ireland Assembly from 2007 to 2011. He has always sought to highlight the needs and concerns of rural communities, working closely with local groups and addressing the needs of individual constituents across an array of issues. He has a particular interest in promoting rural and regional development and assisting with local planning issues.
