Esther stood as the Green Party candidate for the Lower Stoke ward in the 2022 local election and received 400 votes. Esther says: "I came here to Coventry for Uni and never left. I've helped set up and run many community projects including Freegle and Five Acre Community Farm. For me the Green Party is the obvious party, because it combines concern for the wider planet with strong social justice policies and both the environment and people are important to me. Alongside Councillor Stephen Gray, I enjoy engaging with people in Holbrooks hearing their concerns and where possible helping with them. I believe passionately we can do more as a community than as individuals, so we need to work together to make our city a better place."
