I have lived in Hertfordshire since 1986, after living Jersey in the Channel Islands for thirteen years, where I met my wife to be.

Our two daughters were born in the old QE2 in 1987 &1991, and raising them turned out to be the best job of my life.

Even now the girls and I holiday together and chase down our favourite live bands.

I was elected as a Conservative Borough Councillor for Howlands in 2014.

After a break and having fully retired, I really want to make a difference back here in Howlands.

I want to galvanise the youth in Howlands into a group that can support each other to cope with the speed of change that we see all around us today.

My interest in skiing is something that most people who know me take in their stride but those I newly meet are a little taken aback by my ability and stamina.

I live in social housing and support the idea of more being built for a truly affordable rent.

I would like to help ex-forces settle back into civilian life, as they are such an undervalued asset with their experience and discipline.

With such a wide range of committees within the council I know that I will be able to add value to our Council. "
