Paul Penlington's policies
Statement to voters
We have had 14 years of a Conservative Government in Westminster, 25 Years of a Labour Government in Wales, yet life is increasingly difficult for most of us, many people are in crisis.
Full statement
In many ways life is harder in this part of the UK than anywhere.
In this constituency we have the highest levels of poverty in the UK; 35% of children live in poverty 18% of pensioners live in poverty 22% of working people live in poverty
The NHS is in serious crisis, people are dying in ambulances and people are pulling their own teeth but the two main parties do nothing but bicker about whose is performing best and blame each other for their failings.
It’s a very long list of failures from the Red and Blue, too long to list here, but you know we are being failed and even put at risk by their failures.
There’s a lot of talk in this election about ‘change’ and a ‘plan’ but their policies remain the same; blame each other, do nothing and pander to their billionaire sponsors.
Plaid Cymru can deliver change and do have a clear plan. We only represent you, we have no billionaire backers, and our candidates are all local community champions who only work for the benefit of our communities.
One of our central aims is to fight to have ownership of our natural resources to boost our economy. The windmills along our coastline are worth £853 million and are set to generate billions in profits in coming years, our water is exported to England and generates £4.5 billion in profits. NONE of that money comes to Wales. We are fighting only for what is fair, the return of our own resources and profits to our economy so public services and the NHS can be properly funded and we can put an end to poverty in Wales. Imagine what we could do with those billions now and into the future.
Wales is being unfairly drained by Westminster, we are the only party who will challenge that and speak up for you individually. I have decades of public service in this constituency, teaching your children, fighting the local authority, volunteering.
If in doubt follow me on Facebook, Google me, or ask around, you’ll find someone who knows me and the online evidence of my claim. I want to continue serving the community where I can make a real difference and where your voice will actually be heard. So please, don’t waste your vote on more of the same, for all of us, Vote Paul Penlington, Vote Plaid Cymru. Nothing will change unless you make it.
