Statement to voters
I lived in St Helier when I was first married, and have stayed in the London Borough of Sutton all my life.
Full statement
I managed the Middleton Circle Library and worked to create a community hub, running job clubs, over 60’s lunch club, knitting group, local history, new mothers’ group and a Christmas Day lunch. Through these activities I came to know many people who lived locally and worked with them to support and help some of the most vulnerable residents. I have also run many projects based around the local history of Carshalton and Wallington including the St Helier reminiscence project and Men of the Wrythe WW1 memories. I am still involved in voluntary work in St Helier. I am passionate about reducing poverty and inequality and improving conditions for local people.
