She raised her family here and her daughter went to local schools. Julie moved away for a few years, but returned to Gosport in 2016 to be close to her family (and the seaside!) again. Since being elected in 2018, Julie has worked tirelessly for her area. Supporting residents with casework, organising local litter picks, and lobbying the council for improvements to the Kings Road play area. Julie is fed up with the way the Conservative-run government is taking us for granted, with sleaze, rising fuel and food costs, and MPs partying at Downing Street during lockdown whilst everyone else followed the rules. As a Governor for a local school, Julie knows how hard teaching staff work, and how hard Conservative-run government cuts have hit schools. They give money with one hand, but take more away with another. Julie believes the Lib Dems truly stand up for local people, and that is why she is standing for council this year.
