I grew up in Rossendale and lived in this ward for most part of my life. For the past year I have been out and about in the neighbourhood listening to people on their door step. I hear how many people are unsatisfied with the way the council is being run and how their problems are being ignored. People with genuine problems are finding it difficult to get their councillors and the council to act. I believe in putting the residents first and I stand firmly besides the residents and the youngsters who wants to shape a brighter future for themselves. Having attended various meetings I have seen how little say people have over issues that affect them most and I see how the media gets it wrong. I am passionate about empowering local people to get involved and to work together on issues that affect the community. I believe in service and in fairness. I also believe our society should be free of all form of crimes. People in Hareholme deserve to be fairly represented at the council and should be able to expect a better service. I will be engaging more with the residents once elected and will be doing everything within my capacity to help those who are not getting the help they require from the council. Like me if you believe in fairness, a society free of crime and Hareholme to be a better and a safer place to live and raise a family please give me your support on May the 2nd.
