Statement to voters

I am delighted to be your Labour & Co-operative Party Candidate for Rushall-Shelfield at the upcoming local elections on 2nd May.

Full statement

I live locally with my wife and two children, and I have worked in Primary, Secondary and Special Education for over 20 years. Through this, I have seen first-hand the devastating effects of savage Conservative cuts on our community and our crucial local services.

On 2nd May you have an opportunity to send a clear and direct message to the Conservatives, that we have had enough of false and empty promises, and that our communities will not be taken for granted any longer. Rushall-Shelfield and Walsall as whole deserves better than two decades of Tory failure.

Your Council services are on their knees, Council tax is continuing to rise, while vital services like Social Care, Youth Services, Community Alarms, and the One Stop Shop are cut. Street lighting is being dimmed, Fly-Tipping is increasing, Access to Council Tips reduced, Provision of Christmas lights cut, all while your Council Tax is rising.

If elected I promise to carry on the good work of my good friend Cllr Richard Worrall and be an active councillor and work hard for all residents of Rushall-Shelfield.

If you have any local issues please get in touch with me.

Don’t let your vote be taken for granted, make your voice heard and send a clear message to the Conservatives that enough is enough. Vote Labour on 2nd May.
