Statement to voters
Standing as councillor in Westcott I hope to overturn the Liberal Democrat and Conservative dominance of Mole Valley. Labour has plans for a Green New Deal, which puts the environment at the heart of everything we do. I would push for improved local bus services, better recycling solutions and a review of parking services in Dorking to encourage diversity of businesses in the town. There should also be greater investment in Green technology, such as EV charging points. The closure of Sure Start children’s centres has been severely detrimental and a Labour council will seek to improve services for children.
