Statement to voters

Mocky is passionate about the climate, education, supporting our local businesses, providing a voice to those that are underrepresented and protecting our great NHS, trade unions and welfare system.

Full statement

Since 2017, Mocky has been the Labour Leader on South Oxfordshire and Didcot Town Councils. Mocky is tackling the issues that affect residents, he has been fighting for improved amenities and infrastructure such as dentists, schools and GP surgeries and lobbying for a new minor injuries unit at Didcot Community Hospital.

Mocky shares the frustrations that residents have with the current planning system. Houses are being built by developers without an adequate number of affordable homes and without joined-up thinking. This must change!

Mocky is concerned that our young people are not getting the opportunities to fulfil their potential and that our vulnerable residents in our community are being forgotten. Also, he wants to enhance the connectivity between our towns and villages by improving cycle lanes and by having better public transport links.

Mocky lives in Didcot with his wife and two young daughters. Mocky is a Chartered Marketer, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Mocky is a trustee and volunteer for several local charities and groups, he runs a community centre and is a governor at Didcot Girls School. Mocky is halfway through a PhD researching culture, identity, religion, and young people.

Mocky is keen to hear your views, learn about your priorities and what you care about. Please feel free to email him on mocky.wantlabour@outlook

After 14 years of Tory misrule, we need change -- positive, creative change for our community and the world around us. Mocky Khan for Didcot and Wantage.
