Statement to voters

Jemma grew up in Salford and attended school and university locally.

Full statement

She started her career at Salford Carers Centre before qualifying as a Speech and Language Therapist. She now works in the NHS and across Education.

Jemma is tired of savage cuts to public services that impact the people who need them most. Jemma knows first-hand about the need for huge investment into NHS staff and services, our cash-strapped schools and the Special Educational Needs system, so that families don’t have to fight for what they need and the residents of Worsley and Eccles are not left behind. Years of Tory rule has left most of us worse off and the Liberal Democrats have a strong plan to fix it.

Jemma is not a career politician, but an everyday person with a young family who understands the real impact of the Cost of Living Crisis and how ordinary people are paying the price. She is standing to be the voice of Worsley and Eccles.
