Statement to voters

My family have enjoyed what Wokingham Borough has to offer since arriving in 1964.

Full statement

I attended Beechwood and Bulmershe Schools. We brought up to children who are successfully progressing in their chosen careers. I have experienced the issues around social care with ageing parents.

From 2004 until 2019 I was the elected Councillor for Hawkedon Ward on Wokingham Borough. I enjoyed working with residents on issues that mattered to them and with the help of other Conservative Councillors improving the everyday lives of residents .

In the last couple years I have been disappointed of what I have seen in Ealey. The roads have not been maintained. Often appearing more pot holes than road!. Paths already are becoming over grown even before the peak growing season and verges uncut. And now fortnightly refuse collecting is shortly to be implemented whilst the cost of Council tax and Council services, such as car parking charges just spiral.

I care passionately about the Borough. I want the next generations to have the positive experiences my family have enjoyed. With my work and life experiences and shortly to retire I have the energy , time and desire to make a difference for the better.
