Statement to voters
Alan is a single issue candidate - with focus on "Fair Votes".
A primary obstacle to higher standards in UK public life is the FPTP voting system (First Past the Post) that offers quite perverse incentives to those elected. It must be eradicated. Our system needs fundamental alteration.
Alan is asking electors to read his leaflet (available from alanr555@gmail.com) before voting - and to use their votes to promote the long-term future of our democracy. He is not promoting any specific party, candidate or system.
Casting votes is simple but in 2019 over 70% were ineffective. We can do better!
