Statement to voters

I am so excited about this election! We are running the biggest and most energetic campaign in our history.

Full statement

Whoever we elect will shape not just the next few months, but the next five years and beyond. Traditional political parties are failing us and our planet. Now is the time to vote for our values. I love this area and I would be honoured to be selected to represent our amazing community.

I am a sustainability and human rights specialist who runs my own business supporting organisations to implement more responsible and ethical practices. I have worked for many years, both in the UK and abroad, to help protect the environment and support workers and communities to access their rights. I host A Thriving Future podcast where listeners hear from the bold organizations and communities going beyond sustainability and leading the way towards a better future.

Outside of my work, I am a regular volunteer and have given my time and energy to initiatives and causes including tree-planting, reducing single-use plastics, helping at the local foodbank, mentoring victims of abuse and monitoring water quality. I have even taken part in a citizen science project with ZSL monitoring eels in Faversham creek! I am also an activist who works to pressure those in power to take positive action for people and planet through protests, events and by hosting people's assemblies. In 2023 I stepped down as a Trustee at Abbey Physic Community Garden after six years in the post where I played a key role in fundraising, monitoring and evaluation work.

All across England and Wales, people will be voting for a greener, more equal society for everyone and we need your help to make this happen. After months of uncertainty, this is the time to Vote Green, so that we can take urgent action on the climate emergency and deliver a Green New Deal which will create a greener, fairer Britain for all.

Unlike other parties, the Green Party does not accept funding from big business, the finance sector or trade unions. We do this so that we can stay independent from these agendas and act in the best interests of our community.
