Statement to voters

Born and brought up in Livingston, Cameron went to school and college in the town.

Full statement

He has previously stood as a candidate in the 2019 General Election and the Livingston South By-Election last year. Livingston does not have any young councillors, at the age of 21, Cameron wants to break the barrier and give the young people of Livingston South a voice on the council.

He currently works for Green Co-Leader and MSP Lorna Slater in the Scottish Parliament as her Parliamentary Assistant. In this role Cameron regularly communicates with West Lothian Council as well as representatives from the Scottish Government. He has helped locals with a variety of issues such as planning cases and light pollution.

Cameron strongly believes that everyone should have access to a safe, warm and affordable home and is keen to push West Lothian further to achieve this. The introduction of an empty homes strategy to bring disused and abandoned properties back into use would be one of his main goals if elected in May.

He also wants a cleaner Livingston which is why he campaigned over the past few years for a cleaner River Almond, he supported the application for a bathing waters status and has been in conversation with stakeholders on the Greens vision for the river.
