Statement to voters
Deanna has lived in Haywards Heath for the last 26 years.

Previously an IT systems manager, for the last 15 years she has been teaching maths and physics at 6th form level. As a former Head of Science at Haywards Heath College before it closed, she has seen first-hand the difficulties of central government funding cuts, and the direct impact on services in the area, due to lack of strategic planning and support from current local Councils at all levels. If elected, Deanna will focus on green sustainable local projects, looking at the impact of the current house building boom, and addressing the lack of supporting infrastructure such as green transport options (buses and safe cycle routes), schools, doctor’s surgeries and leisure facilities. She will campaign to make sure property developers are held to their targets of affordable and social housing, and their promises on protection of trees and the local environment.
