Statement to voters
We need a fresh start in Middlesbrough South & East Cleveland. I'm proud to have grown up here, and serve the community as a councillor and cabinet member. I started out as a teacher here, before working in education and economic policy nationally. I've seen first-hand how our people are hurting after thirteen years of Conservative government - and a Conservative MP who helped Liz Truss crash the economy. That's why I'm standing to be our next MP: to get a fresh start and a better deal for our home. It's time for change!
