Statement to voters

Edinburgh City Council has a reputation for wasting money, for not listening to residents, focusing on vanity projects and not getting the basics of city management right.

Initiatives such as the Tram, Bin hubs, Spaces for People bollards, Controlled Parking Zone extensions to Gorgie and Hutchison and the proposed Low Emissions Zone are good examples while roads and pavements deteriorate, drain gullies are unmaintained leading to flooding, and the Dell bridges and Craiglockhart Hill paths are closed.

If elected I will focus on getting the basic services right by listening to those who know best, local residents.

This statement was added by Christopher Cowdy, their team, or by a Democracy Club volunteer, based on information published by the candidate elsewhere.
