Full statement
This experience has afforded Neil first-hand experience of the challenges of the last four decades of government-led NHS underfunding, as he states: “The NHS is one of our biggest assets, but it has been used to bring money in via privatisation contracts which are only lucrative to shareholders, meaning increased costs, less accountability, and a crumbling service.
Neil continues: “It’s time to cut the private contracts and focus on patient care and value for taxpayers. Services have been cut to the bare bones, and if elected as your MP, I would fight to reverse this trend.”
Neil also advocates strongly for positive and progressive development resulting from a move to Green technology and agriculture practices, removing the current reliance on depleting natural resources and the extinction of plants, animals and insects.
“In Britain we have a strong history of design and innovation, leading manufacturing from the industrial revolution to today, now we have the opportunity to focus this expertise on cleaning up dirty industries and revolutionising new business methods which benefit more than just shareholders.”
Neil cites the following key pledges as an MP candidate for Southampton Itchen: motion for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, stop NHS privatisation, more renewable & clean energy options, end fossil fuel reliance, move to hold water companies to account, tax system reform for fair taxation of corporations and individuals, bring all utilities back into public ownership.
