I have lived in Risinghurst and worked as a midwife for more than 30 years, and am a member of Risinghurst and Sandhills Parish Council.

My three children went to Sandhills and Wheatley Park schools. I greatly enjoy living in our area and taking an active role in improving our community. I helped to set up the Street Sport Site on Richards Way and was involved in running Risinghurst Community Centre for 13 years. I edited The Chronicle, a free local newspaper, am a shareholder and committee member of the Ampleforth Arms Community Pub, and support Wild about Risinghurst, a new group promoting improvement to our natural environment.
