Statement to voters

Kearsley Labour are delighted to put forward Jackie Schofield as the Labour candidate for the upcoming Kearsley by-election on Thursday 16 November.

Full statement

Jackie has years of experience working in the Health Service, and currently serves at Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, which includes Salford Royal.

Jackie will bring those years of NHS experience into her role as a Kearsley Councillor.

Jackie is looking to join the already existing, experienced team of Cllr Debbie Newall and Cllr Melanie Livesey, who moved over to Labour following the resignation of Cllr Paul Heslop and the disbanding of the 'One Kearsley' Party.

Jackie Schofield: "I am delighted to be joining the team with Debbie and Mel.

"Working as a key worker through the pandemic in the local NHS, I am especially keen to get to work with Debbie, Mel and local residents on the Covid Memorial Garden.

"The Labour Group, working with Debbie and Mel, have already delivered nearly half a million pounds of funding for Kearsley in a short, few months. If we are elected as a strong team, we can do even more."
