Statement to voters

My life has had its share of highs and lows; in the 1980s, I was homeless and hopeless.

Full statement

The experience stayed with me and kept me grounded through my later success, in 2013 I qualified as a solicitor and in 2023, I headlined Wembley Stadium with Blur.

My passion is working in the community, bringing people together and solving problems. 14 years of Conservative governments have left the UK in a desperate state. Public services are barely working, and we've had a succession of Prime Ministers acting as if the rules don't apply to them.

We can do better. As part of a Labour government, I want to help rebuild Mid Sussex. Transform the NHS, revitalise public services, and create water, power and rail networks that put consumers first, not shareholders.

I can only do this with your help.

We need a Labour MP to make sure we get our fair share from the next Labour government.

The latest polling shows the Lib Dems are now a distant third place; only Labour can beat the Conservatives here. I ask that you give me a chance to show you what I can do.
