Police and Crime Commissioner for South Yorkshire

This election will be held on Thursday 6 May 2021.

You can choose from 1 ballot option in the South Yorkshire Police force area.

How you vote This election uses Supplementary Vote.

Mark an X in the first column for your first choice. Mark an X in the second column for your second choice. You do not have to mark a second choice.

Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) are elected to hold the police to account. They have responsibility for their police force's finance, and can appoint or dismiss the Chief Constable. Once elected, each PCC must produce a Police and Crime Plan, which sets their force's strategic direction.

Sheffield City Council referendum

On Thursday 6 May 2021, voters in Sheffield will also be able to vote in a referendum.

The question you will be asked on the ballot paper is:

How would you like Sheffield City Council to be run?

By a leader who is an elected councillor chosen by a vote of the other elected councillors. This is how the council is run now.
or
By one or more committees made up of elected councillors. This would be a change from how the council is run now.

Where to vote
