Westmorland and Furness local election
Grange and Cartmel ward
This election was held on Thursday 5 May 2022.
-
From 1 April 2023 local government in Cumbria will change. The current six district councils and Cumbria County Council will be replaced by two new unitary authorities:
- Cumberland Council will replace Allerdale, Copeland and Carlisle.
- Westmorland and Furness Council will replace Barrow, Eden and South Lakeland.
This means that all the services delivered by Cumbria County Council and the six district councils will be delivered by the two new councils.
The councillors elected on 5 May 2022 will transfer to these new councils, and will run them until the next election in May 2027.
11 candidates stood in the Grange and Cartmel ward.
