Mayor of York and North Yorkshire

This election was held on Thursday 2 May 2024.

The Mayor of York and North Yorkshire is a new position, and will help direct the overall strategy of the two councils which make up the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority. The Mayor will have responsibilities in transport, skills, planning and regeneration. They will also take over the powers previously held by the North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.
