I am also a committed Christian and care deeply about the local community and its wellbeing.

I have lived in Sale most of my life and as a parent I fear for our young people’s future. I want to see our area safe and thriving.

I am deeply concerned not only about record council tax rises and poor services, but also the proposal for a new ‘community centre with prayer room’ on the Goodwood Field. The overwhelming feedback I have received on the doorstep is that it is not needed or wanted by the local community and they feel it is being forced upon them by Labour and the Three Meem Foundation (an Islamic charity) without either their consent or proper consultation.

I will work with anyone – Save the Goodwood Field campaign, The Conservatives, or any other group who seek to legitimately oppose the development of what many are calling a Mosque on this precious recreational green space that is in near constant use and was gifted to the community by a local Farmer many years ago.

This is not the place and now is not the time for such a development to take place in Manor ward and this project must be stopped.
