That's why I am stepping up as a candidate for Mersea and Pyefleet in the upcoming local elections. With 22 years of successful small business ownership and the unique perspective of being a single parent, I bring a diverse set of experiences and a passionate commitment to making positive changes for our area. Having grown up on Mersea Island, I understand the issues that matter most to our residents. It's clear that after 14 years of conservative rule, the time for change is now. Our pavements and roads are in a deplorable state, with potholes posing hazards to motorists and pedestrians alike. We must address these urgent infrastructure challenges head-on. Furthermore, we need to prioritise accessibility for all members of our community. This includes improving access for wheelchair users on pavements and beaches, as well as ensuring better connectivity to local services and infrastructure. Every resident deserves equal access to the resources and opportunities that make our community thrive. These issues are just the beginning of what I stand for. As a member of a party with no whip, I am free to advocate for and vote on matters that directly impact our local area. Your voice matters, and together, we can bring about the change our community desperately needs. On election day, I urge you to make your voice heard and vote for the positive change we seek.
