Statement to voters

Fed up of broken politics, there is an alternative! We live in one of the richest countries on the planet, yet nurses are using food banks, our children’s schools are crumbling, a roof over our heads is all too often unaffordable, hospital and dentist appointments are like gold dust.

Full statement

Meanwhile, the climate emergency continues to accelerate. Scientists warn that we are currently on track for global temperatures to rise, far beyond levels at which humanity can safely survive. The Green Party promise is that this can change. The Green Party are the party of change which collaborate to create a greener, fairer place to live together – one in which we are all safer, happier and more fulfilled.

City of York born and bred, with deep, deep roots being a proud freeman of York. Having seen York move to a service, knowledge economy along with many other Northern areas. York should be leaders in Industry 4.0. York should be a City of opportunity, not just a nice place to visit. The labour force, now largely knowledge workers, are ever more a blend of political isms. To me, the Green Party are that party, reflecting first thoughts, not 19th Century rhetoric. As an active member nationally, campaigning during the general election. Being inspired by the politics as local scapegoats on one issue, to whom we have trebbled our national representation, proving people want genuine change. Having lived in the Haxby & Wigginton Ward since 2001, the infrastructure hasn't changed. Cars are a reality and however powered, these convenient conveyances aren't going away anytime soon. A station serving Haxby & Wigginton would alleviate pressure on the local road infrastructure.
