I was born a few miles away in Swindon but I’ve spent over thirty years living in the area so I consider myself a local. I’m extremely proud of this beautiful town and very grateful to have brought up my family here. I love the area and I want to see it thrive and flourish through sympathetic growth. I believe it’s vital we protect the environment and find creative and sustainable methods to encourage our vibrant young people to stay in the area. I spent a number of years as a parish councillor therefore I understand local issues and I have experience navigating ways to support and work with the community. Recently I have spent a lot of time talking to residents in the Abbey ward and I understand people have very real concerns about how their money is being spent by the current council. I want to see your council tax spent more effectively, rather than on wasteful management consultancy fees, glossy marketing literature and street signs that could soon be out of date. I will do my very best to work efficiently and effectively for my town, its residents and businesses. My priority will be on cutting wasteful spending and putting your money to the very best use. This is a local election on local issues and about local people. As someone who lives locally I would really appreciate your support on May 4th.
