Statement to voters

As a South Norfolk Councillor, I do all I can to help our local people and communities.

Full statement

Everyday issues include council tax matters, housing, sewage spills, potholes (again), a planning issue or a new bus stop blocking the pavement. Sometimes an effective local councillor makes all the difference. Local politics should rarely be about “Politics”, it should be about working together to serve the common community interest.

I am proud to be British, and I know the Liberal Democrat values of Liberty, Democracy and Community have made this country one of the best in the world to live in. These values must be defended robustly.

I am an East Anglian farmer’s son with 40 years’ experience in business and education. I’ve lived in a South Norfolk village for over 30 years, after living in Norwich and London. I understand “town” and “country” and their different challenges.
