John Russell Fletcher's policies
Statement to voters
Originally from Blackburn, I have lived in Mellor for the last 25 years.
Full statement
A former Secondary school teacher, Youth & Community Worker, Adult Educator and Staff development officer for L.C.C. I am now retired from work just not yet from life.
I wasn't looking to be involved in local politics at this stage in my life but the catastrophic handling of events by local and national government over the last 3 years has made me realise that party politics are no longer fit for purpose or relevant today. I am a firm believer in Direct Democracy, Personal Freedom and Empowerment of the individual and the Decentralisation of all levels of government.
