Statement to voters
I would like to recognise the good work Cllr Chris Hilliard has started in Lacey Green and across Cheshire East, particularly in championing active travel, and send our condolences to their family and friends.

Thanks to Chris, we will start to see changes – including the Wilmslow to Handforth cycling and walking route.
It’s time to stop polluting the Bollin – it is shocking that sewerage was pumped into the river for an average of over four hours a day last year.
Through my work with recovering addicts in Wilmslow and Macclesfield I know we need to improve mental health support and social care – starting with more commitment to delivering joined up solutions.
We lost out on £800,000 of government funding for active travel projects last year because of under-performance by the council – just one of many areas where more urgent change is needed.
