Statement to voters

Juliet Voisey lives with her husband and 3 children, and has been in St Albans for 17 years.

Full statement

She was first elected to St Albans Council in 2023.

She is very active in the community, coordinating the local Greenpeace group and volunteering with Butterfly World, St Albans Community Pantry and her school PTA. Recently she’s been working with a group that is lobbying the Council to reduce its use of harmful pesticides.

She’s also been involved in the new local campaign challenging the Council over the felling of 250 mature trees.

Green councillor Simon Grover described Juliet as “a genuine, hard-working campaigner who knows how to get the job done. She works with me here in St Peter’s ward and would be a brilliant addition to the Council.”

Juliet describes her priorities if she was re-elected as:

Holding the Council to account on issues like the market and road closures

Helping residents to stand up against unsuitable developments

Promoting options for walking, cycling and public transport

Stopping Council decisions being made behind closed doors

Action on reducing pollution, tackling climate change and protecting trees

Swift reporting of fly-tipping, rubbish and missed bin collections

Her ambition is “to make St Albans a greener, healthier place to live".
