Statement to voters

I have loved living in our borough since 2004 with my husband and daughter.

Full statement

Before this I lived and worked in my country of birth, Uganda, first as a university librarian and later supporting local women’s groups. In Britain I worked caring for elderly and vulnerable people, but have now retired from this important and rewarding role.

In May 2019 and again in May 2023, I was honoured to be elected as an Earley Town Councillor. I really enjoy taking part in our Town Council meetings, helping to make our community an even better place in which to live. I believe that my own background and experience has helped me to be an effective advocate for people whose voices have sometimes not always been heard and would very much look forward to helping them and all our residents if elected as one of your Councillors for Loddon.
